Welcome again to a new season!

In last month’s newsletter we spoke about this New Year upcoming is being called the year of the open door…with narrow openings. This phrase is continuing to pound in my spirit as a word for the Body of Christ.

Everywhere Pam and I go we are finding people at the end of their rope. For all our friends outside the United States, this simply means the problems and situations of this past season have produced a hopelessness in their lives they are having a hard time overcoming.

Recently I spent several Friday Fire Videos speaking on the subject of being without hope. It has been the most commented Friday Fire Videos we have ever done. If you did not get a chance to view them, visit http://revivalnow.org/media to watch.

Kenneth Hagin used to say he could start out teaching on the end time but end up teaching on faith and healing because that was the subject God had anointed him to teach. I know I am called to preach and teach on Elijah, an open heaven, and I am understanding a desperate need to talk about times and seasons. We know seasons come and go. In the natural, that is. But so often I find self in different spiritual seasons that confuse me and perplex me if I don’t keep my ear tuned to the voice of the Holy Spirit.

Why do we find it so hard to accept that God would declare to us and want to give us a new season? Many people are convinced the more we struggle and “tribulate” the more spiritual we become. It’s not the test that makes me strong; it’s persevering and applying the Word of the Lord and the written Word of God to my situation that makes me strong.

First, we have a hard time accepting God’s declaration of a new season because we don’t like the package it comes in. I remember the story of a drowning man. He was crying out to God to save him, so God sent him a boat; but he didn’t want the captain of the boat to save him, he wanted God to come down and rescue him. Soon, God sent someone else to try to draw the drowning man out of the deep and he refused the help, he said, God will save me. Finally a helicopter came to rescue him and again he refused. The man finally drowned. In heaven he complained to God and accused Him of not caring enough to save him; God showed him He sent three different people to rescue him but he rejected each one.

Don’t reject God’s open door for a new season simply because you don’t like the package.

Secondly, people can’t embrace the call for a new season because there is a pain from the last season of struggle that is so deep they simply have a hard time accepting this could really be a Word from the Lord!

Thirdly, people have a hard time embracing God’s call for an open door and a new season because the culture of unbelief has been so deeply engrained into their lives they refuse to believe anything good!

I know there will eventually be the end of all things as we know it. It doesn’t take a prophet to know we are in the last days.

I also am convinced now is still the accepted time. Now…today is the day of salvation! If we would simply repent and turn our hearts back to God and embrace His Son’s sacrifice for our sins, He really will give us a new season.

We cannot take stubbornness, rebellion, pain or unbelief with us into this next season in God.

Father, I WILL embrace the year of the open door. Even if it has narrow openings!

Ministry News

As I write this, we are on our way to Kenya for the 2nd Kilgoris Fire Conference. Last year we saw over 60 different denominational groups come together for a time of teaching, preaching and impartation. I know many of you have seen the news concerning the attack of the mall in Nairobi. Your prayers are appreciated that we will be able to conduct this conference and city-wide crusade and see many souls come to Jesus.

Our next Pastors Training in Kenya will be held December 9-14. In 2014 we will begin offering a degree level teaching and training in conjunction with our quarterly leadership training in Kilgoris. We will also be expanding our conference & crusade ministry into others cities across Kenya. We have a tremendous open door for ministry in the country and we must seize this moment while we have it. Thank you for praying for us that we will move into the right areas that are ready to receive our part of the Great Commission.

We are still working toward expanding our TV outreach here in the East Alabama area and are now broadcasting 24/7 on Revival Now TV. You can view Revival Now TV from our website http://revivalnow.org/live.

Your prayers and especially your financial support is greatly appreciated. I say it often, but it comes from a sincere heart: Pam and I know you can support many, many worthy ministries that are doing a tremendous Kingdom work for Jesus. We are grateful God has spoken to you to support us with your special love gifts. Together, souls are being brought to Jesus, believers are being encouraged and lifted to a higher level, pastors are being equipped and encouraged and Jesus is being made famous in our lives.

Thank you for believing in and supporting our part of the Great Commission.
