He makes all things new.

I say it at the beginning of every New Year. God in His grace and mercy has given us 12 brand new months, 365 brand new days, 8,760 brand new hours, and 31, 536,000 brand new seconds. What a God we serve!

God is also gracious that as He gives us a new beginning, He will also many times bring a new emphasis into our hearts. I sense in prayer that we will continue to hear from the Lord the need to contend; contend for the full manifestation of an open heaven, for confirmation and provision that naturally flows from an open heaven; as well as contending for a Full Great Awakening.

Back in 2007, the Holy Spirit spoke to me through the Word of God telling me that the US Election of 2012 would be the most dangerous and bitterly fought election of our lifetime. We are eleven months away and the campaigning has been going on since the day after the last election. It doesn’t take a prophet to realize it’s going to get nasty before November.

As I was reading Psalms 12 recently, in my Spirit Filled Life Study Bible, I noticed the title of this Psalm reads: Man’s Treachery and God’s Constancy. I sense in 2012 we will see the following:

1. Ungodliness, wickedness, political and religious manipulation as well as a disrespect for authority will escalate to the point that a hopelessness will capture many people’s hearts and minds. Watch for an increase in the Occupy Wall Street movement to infiltrate people’s thinking and bring a greater division with many in the church.

There is a discontent that is put in our hearts by the Holy Spirit to draw us closer to God. But then there is a discontent that is rooted in rebellion that I call the seed of never being satisfied. This seed of never being satisfied has affected and infected many in the church world, and sadly, many will be caught up in some things they will regret later in life.

2. God Himself is getting involved in social justice. It doesn’t matter if it’s the rich oppressing the poor or the poor stealing from the rich, oppression in every form is wrong. But taking from the rich and giving to the poor will not solve the world’s problems. In just a few years, the money will be back in a few people’s hands, because they know how to steward it. Be assured when God touches a person’s heart to give, the poor will be taken care of God’s way. We are going to see people’s heart touched to give in 2012 that will astound many and give birth to the most Scriptural form of social justice we have ever seen.

3. Watch for a provision and a protection from the Lord we have heard about and read about in Scripture begin to happen here in America. There has always been wickedness and wicked people. There has been sin and sinners since the Garden of Eden. But for 2012, there are some prophetic words that have been tried in a furnace for the last several years that are about to explode for people. Many who have been flying under the radar are about to be released into their destiny. The unusual attacks of the last season that have stirred our hearts for God to change us will be manifested in an unusual anointing that will bring a turning of many hearts back to the Lord. Psalms 12:6 “The words of the Lord are pure words, like silver tries in a furnace of earth…(7) You shall keep them O Lord, you shall preserve them from this generation forever.”

Many are predicting the end of America and the world as we know it in 2012. Others are looking at the ancient Mayan prophecies and saying by December 2012 the world will end. That may be true. But I don’t believe God is finished with America or the world just yet. I have hope (birthed from the Word of God) that there is at least one more Great Awakening for the United States.

Don’t misunderstand: there will come a day in which America will be judged. You cannot reject God forever and not face the consequences. You cannot spend money you do not have and not eventually go bankrupt. There is a generation that will certainly be the last generation! But there is also much Kingdom work remaining to be done. I have loved one’s that need to be saved. I have grandchildren that I want to have the opportunity to experience God the way their Mom’s and Dad’s have experienced Him.

Jesus can certainly come in 2012! But when man begins to predict the coming of the Lord, man is ALWAYS proven WRONG. By God Himself.

Keep your eyes focused on Him. For those who will seek HIS FACE, you will see HIM and experience HIM in a way you never have before. It will be a year in which God will call us and pull us into a greater measure of His Divine Order for our lives.

May 2012 truly give us all a new beginning.
Happy New Year!
